Our diverse
terrain includes mesas, high desert, streams, lakes, rivers, the Rio Grand Gorge,
national forest, wilderness areas, and mountains, which provide visitors with a host of
activities.
Our mesas and high desert are great for walking, horseback riding, or taking a drive
through.
Our streams, lakes, and rivers are ideal for fishing, camping, swimming, and boating.
The Rio Grande also features hidden hot springs and great white water rafting and
kayaking.
Our 650-foot gorge provides breath-taking views from the bridge or better yet you can
view the gorge from a hot air balloon.
Or get up into our mountains where you can hike, take a horse or lama expedition, or
camp by an alpine lake. For winter activities we can provide you with 5 down hill
ski resorts, a cross-country ski area, or grab your cross country skis, snowshoes, or snow
mobiles and explore our many forest trails.
Hop on your bike and tour our many back roads or motor your way along the High Road to
Taos or the Enchanted Circle and visit our quaint villages and towns.
Step back in time by visiting our pueblos, museums, historic buildings and villages.
If you want to do some shopping, there are shops to suit anyone's delights.
Get in shape at one of our four golf courses or visit one of our spas. Unwind by taking
a visit to the Ojo mineral springs, and then enjoy a wonderful evening meal at one of our
many restaurants. Than take in some live entertainment, a show, or take a few turns
out on the dance floor.
Whatever your vacation or art needs may be, you may very well find them waiting for you
here in Taos!!!
